Regency Garden Party Meets Contemporary Color Blocking

We cannot believe it’s been nearly 2 years since one of the most memorable creative days we’ve had—and we’re still fully obsessed! When Mack from Mack and Main approached us with her vision for this shoot, we were all in. Not only is Mack a talented designer in her own right, but she gave us the vision and let us run with it, which is the best way to make some magic!

The inspiration: Regencycore meets color-blocked pastel garden party. Mack envisioned a shoot filled with romantic maximalism, playful hues, grand floral gestures, and elegant vintage touches. Think Bridgerton energy meets modern art. It was bold, soft, and sculptural all at once, and gave us the perfect excuse to dream big.

And we did!!! It was a lot of work. The scale of what we built in just a few hours on that 90-degree May day was unreal. We flower-bombed the walled garden, built installations we’d only dreamed of, and created an urn arrangement so massive it couldn’t stand on its own—we literally had to crouch behind it to hold it upright for photos. We even dared to use tree peonies in full sun (something we’d never do for a wedding!), all in the name of artistic exploration.

We didn’t have our normal prep week—we got the flowers in 2 days before the shoot and we were in full on production mode until the shoot was over. The cottage was filled to the brim with flowers. Whenever big events like this come up, it is always amazing to see how much we can fit in our tiny space. We organized everything by color which was so satisfying!

One of the most special parts of this shoot was the total lack of restrictions. Just us, a bold color palette, and the freedom to play with scale, texture, and form. It was over-the-top in the best way—layered with color, rich in installations, and packed with moments we’ve never tackled before at the Walled Garden. The thrill of figuring out how to make a vision real—whether it was affixing flowers to a concrete wall or making a fountain bloom—is what we live for!!

Creative projects like this fill us up. They push us out of our comfort zone, connect us with amazing fellow vendors, and reignite our passion for this craft. And the best was meeting one of the models who we got to flower one of the model’s real weddings just a few months later!

So take your time soaking up the full gallery by the incredible Maria Palermo. Don’t miss the cinematic video by Bridge Perspective—it’s epic—and of course, the full feature on Green Wedding Shoes.
