Venue Spotlight: Oakmont Country Club

As wedding florists in Pittsburgh, we get to work at a lot of beautiful venues—but Oakmont Country Club is one we always get excited about. We’ve designed weddings there time and time again, and it never gets old!

With its old-world charm and manicured surroundings, Oakmont exudes sophistication. But what we love most as designers is how incredibly versatile the ballroom is. The space has a clean, neutral palette—warm woods, soft tones, and beautiful natural light—that makes it approachable and open to interpretation. Whether you're dreaming of an ethereal garden-inspired ceremony, a crisp and classic white reception, or something bold and colorful, this venue welcomes it all.

We’ve dressed Oakmont in layers of romantic pastels, filled it with lush greenery, and brought in punchy color palettes that made the whole space pop—and every single design has felt like it belonged. That’s the beauty of a venue with such a solid foundation: no matter what you bring in florally, it enhances the setting rather than competes with it.

Outside the windows is the ceremony area, you’re met with sweeping golf course views that add an extra layer of calm to the day. It’s elegant without being overdone, elevated without feeling fussy, and it gives couples the perfect canvas to bring their vision to life!

And while weddings are our first love, we’ll be spending even more time at Oakmont soon—we’re thrilled to be providing floral designs for the upcoming U.S. Open! It’s a fun shift from wedding work and a great chance to see the behind-the-scenes of a production of this scale.
